Abstract
A method is presented for generating high-resolution time-frequency distributions (TFDs) which are everywhere nonnegative and satisfy the time and frequency marginals. These TFDs are obtained by deconvolution, wherein the effects of the smoothing window are removed from a spectrogram of the signal. The method may also be used to incorporate information from multiple spectrograms of the signal, thereby improving the result
