Abstract
A radial line slot antenna (RSLA) is a slotted waveguide planar array for DBS reception. The paper proposes a concentric array wideband-RLSA with matching terminating slots for further enhancement of antenna efficiency and frequency bandwidth. Slot pairs on the top plate are placed concentrically so that the aperture blocking above the power divider is reduced. Moreover, matching terminating slots are arranged at both edges to radiate the residual power as circular polarization. The antenna gain of about 35.2 dBi is obtained at an 800 MHz bandwidth by calculations. The results verify the effectiveness of this antenna.
