Abstract
The Cooperative AppLIcation Framework (CAliF) QoS service is based on a QoS request administrator and uses a policy repository to parameterize the various elements of the network according to the application behavior by using various QoS control mechanisms. A policy is one or more rules that describe the actions that will occur when specific conditions exist. We present the results of QoS mechanism performance analysis which are necessary to design coherent QoS rules. These results are used to create a consistent and efficient policy repository that is adapted to the type of application to be developed and that makes our service efficient.
