Abstract
This paper presents a novel analog-to-digital converter with a window (ab. WADC) that can approximate a DC input by Farey series: a set of fractions with variable denominators. The WADC can be implemented by a simple continuous time circuit including a dependent switched capacitor. The error characteristics can be given analytically and the efficient performance of the WADC can be guaranteed theoretically
