Abstract
Extracted TLM and FEM models of serpentine structures were used to predict limits of interconnect performance for resonance and radiation up to 20 GHz. The serpentine segment length was determined to produce the resonant frequencies. The frequencies of resonance correlated to radiation peaks in the given serpentine structure. Predictive modeling of serpentine interconnect routing identified limits of performance at resonant frequencies in chip-to-chip interconnect applications.
