Abstract
Microstrip antennas have ubiquitous uses due to their ease of fabrication and low price, among other advantages. However, as the frequency of operation reaches the millimeter range of the spectrum, several problems arise, related to their critical physical construction. This paper covers the design, simulation and characterization of a 20 GHz microstrip antenna, with a CPW (coplanar waveguide) to microstrip transition.
