Abstract
Computer uses are being expanded beyond the capabilities of stand-alone machines to applications requiring high throughput and computational power as well as low cost which can only be found in multicomputers. In this paper we describe a currently developing multicomputer constructed with the interconnections of many computers on a network where each computer performs a task so that the combined efforts of all the computers can be used to solve problems beyond the capability of any single machine to solve. We address four aspects of this multicomputer: hardware, software, applications, and future work efforts
