Abstract
σ-trees are a class of geometric structures that include lattices as a constrained special case. These structures allow for signal sets that are more spherical in shape than lattices in spaces of arbitrary dimensionality. The use of σ-trees in the construction of non-lattice TCM codes is established and investigated
