  • Abstract
In this paper the quality of power generated from a wind energy conversion system employing a double fed induction generator (DFIG) is investigated. The DFIG performance is tested with 3 types of converters interfacing the rotor with the grid. These are: universal converter, 2-level bridge converter, and 3-level bridge converter. A comparison between the power quality issues with and without filters for each system is done and the optimum system from technical & economic views is concluded.
