Abstract
Evaporative cooling technology of the generator takes advantage of phase change heat transfer of coolant to take away large quantity of heat, so in the evaporative cooling system the choice of coolant is very important. The Evaporative Cooling technology has experienced three stages of principle innovation, which is related with the coolant. Two kinds of the coolant were used in the experiment to study the effect of the coolant on the evaporative cooling system. All kinds of experimental conditions were achieved by changing the current at the both ends of the hollow conductor or the volume flow of the water. The comparison of the temperature distribution along the hollow conductor and the relationship between the time and the gauge pressure of the condenser on the condition of the water cut off were finished, in addition a series of analysis were done by the relevant theory.
