  • Abstract
    Present a most suitable transmission program of offshore oil platform that is the VSC-HVDC transmission system based on voltage source converter. HVDC Light system employs power unit serial connection technology; there is no IGBT series; so guarantee the reliability and flexible DC voltage level. The bilateral AC systems needn´t filter circuit. Rectifier station is based on direct current controlling PWM unit power factor rectifier, and uses fixed DC voltage control method. VSC unit of inverter side uses fixed AC voltage control strategy. The system and control strategy are modeled and simulated by simulation software PSCAD / EMTDC, field-test and successfully operated to the field, validate that the proposed method is feasibility and reliability.
