Abstract
In this paper we analyzed the relationship between the accuracy of direction of arrival (DOA) estimation and manifold length of linear array, abstracted from it an index to compare the accuracy of DOA estimation among linear arrays. Based on analysis of the index, an approach to design linear array with high accuracy in DOA estimation was presented. The results of stimulation verify the effectiveness of the index and the approach.
