Abstract
This paper addresses the problem of designing the key parameters defining a mission of an AUV. The novelty of our approach consists: (i) in the formulation of mission design as a multi-criteria problem and use of an appropriate optimization tool, and (ii) on the use of statistically based performance prediction tools
