Abstract
Today many material and chromatic dispersion compensation methods are well-known, so they will not be considered in this work. In high-rating fiber-optical transfer systems (FOTS) polarizing mode dispersion (PMD) has an essential influence. Using Jones´ matrices method, one can obtain output polarization ellipse dependence upon optical medium polarizing parameters, and using Muller´ s method one can define polarizing dependent losses. Applying those methods, one can predict maximal allowed PDL values and PMD values, so define error coefficient for specified optical components combination.
