Abstract
Biofeedback is a therapy currently being researched to treat many psychological and physiological disorders. EEG biofeedback involves monitoring and altering brain activity. It has been shown to effectively treat such problems as epilepsy and brain disorders. To apply this technology on a personal setting, an inexpensive and user-friendly device, capable of processing brain signals and providing logical interpretation of the recorded activity, is required. Several types of electrodes and feedback mechanisms, as well as a design for high-gain amplifiers, have been researched and analyzed. Moreover, the current design of the prototype and the anticipated future work are discussed in the following article.
