  • Abstract
    The increase of the number of mobile phone users and laptops with wireless capabilities got a very high rate in the late years. Also, along with the increased number of users, mobile phone companies and Internet providers are continuously searching for new opportunities to offer new services for their clients. Therefore, the mobility of the clients has to be accomplished without compromising client services. One of the problems that occur in this process is the handover procedure that takes place when a mobile station is moving from one base station to another. In this process, the speed of the mobile station can influence the connectivity and sometimes it is possible to interrupt for a few seconds the offered services. In this paper we present a tool that was devised to simulate the handover process with regards to the influence of mobile stations´ speed over their connectivity.
