Abstract
This paper proposed an error correction technique that employs CS-RZ line-coding in the transmitter and a novel receiver characterized by diverse detection of dual-mode signal, error-detection by "consensus" logic, and bit-by-bit threshold selection. Experimental results showed total gain of 9 dB with the use of the standard 7% FEC code.
