Abstract
We have introduced an original setup to get a 40 Gbit/s granularity in high-throughput optical packet switch with current state of the art electronics. We have given theoretical and experimental arguments showing the feasibility of this concept. This concrete solution is only based on standard 10 Gbit/s technology. It is a key issue to produce a cost-effective optical packet switch.
