Abstract
The consumption of energy is strongly correlated with development of economy both from global and sector perspective. It is the development o particular industries in economy which results in changes in the structure of global energy consumption. On the one hand we experience more economical technologies, however on the other hand we feel that these technologies are more commonly used. The contribution of particular economy sectors to creation of energy consumption in Poland in recent ten years and directions of changes in this area were presented in the following framework. The changes in production structure and energy consumption in the context of the European Union directive were underlined. Especially the popularization of renewable energy sources in Polish fuel and energy balance was described.
