  • Abstract
Three simulation tools (FREACS, CROSS, and SPICE), which are designed or extended to compute the signal propagation on transmission line structures on printed circuit boards, are discussed and compared. The implemented algorithms and the related basic assumptions, the transmission line models, and the termination models are explained. The applicability of the simulators is discussed by comparing precision and runtime using examples from practice
