Abstract
This paper examines the EMC testing and qualifying of a large industrial plant. There are a number of aspects to be addressed when EMC qualifying large distributed systems. These range from the control plan and EMC assessment, to the actual test methods. All major aspects of the control plan are discussed, including management/organisation, design, risk assessment, testing and test standards. To help with EMC risk assessment the concept of the EMC analysis sheet is introduced together with its evolution in parallel with the plant design. The paper also addresses site testing and one of the main site tests, bulk current testing, particularly the long line test
