Abstract
The paper presents the principles of operation and the electrical characteristics of a transducer, for the measurement of radiated emissions, first described by Fromy [1966]. The transducer was originally intended for the measurement of power radiated from linear radiators, such as dipoles and monopoles, placed directly on top of the transducer. The present paper investigates some of the limitations of the transducer, with the view of applying it for emission measurements from electrical apparatus
