  • Abstract
The purpose of this work is to show a technique to reduce mutual coupling in patch antennas by using very simple EBG structures with the help of a multilayer substrate containing a high and a low permittivity layers. Also, the extension to stacked patch antennas will be presented as well as a discussion on the particular characteristics of mutual coupling in these stacked antennas.
