Abstract
This paper attempts to advocate learner autonomy in current Internet and multimedia-assisted college English teaching-learning in China. To achieve this aim, it first offers the fundamental issues of learner autonomy; then it struggles to prove that learner autonomy may serve as a feasible solution to the different kinds of pressure in college English teaching-learning. Furthermore, the advanced technology and instruments of Internet and multimedia used in college English classes have not only increased the chances for learners and teachers, but also at the same time posed more challenges to them. How to foster learner autonomy under this circumstance reveals more significance. Last, this paper endeavors to conceive the construction of campus learning network to promote learner autonomy.
