Abstract
The design of active electronic vibration control systems for flexible mechanical structures is considered. The design methods for dynamic output feedback controllers are presented, which are based on closed loop eigenfrequency allocation or eigenvalue allocation while minimizing the dynamical order of the compensator. A recursive algorithm to compute the control parameters is developed, which reduces the danger of spillover destabilization by the system´s unmodelled residual modes
