Abstract
Detection or reduction of impulse noise is a very active research area in image processing. In this paper, we propose a local image statistics for identifying noise pixels in images corrupted with impulse noise of random values. The statistical values of ODS will quantify how different in intensity the particular pixels are from their most similar neighbors. The experimental result shows the effectiveness of ODS.
