  • Abstract
    Because of its unique properties, such as brushless structure, high torque and power density, the claw pole motor will have widely application foreground. This paper introduces a new type of permanent magnet claw pole motor (PMCPM) with outer rotor. The electrical circuit model of this kind of motor have been built, The operation characteristics are simulated by means of powerful simulation software on the basis of electric circuit model. The computation results indicate that the PMCPM have good operation characteristics. Moreover, in order to verify the motor controllability and simulate the motor dynamic characteristics, a Matlab/Simulink-based simulation model of control system is compiled, and the simulation curves indicate the controllability.
