Abstract
A new hybrid scheme that combines GMPLS QoS features with merged reconfigurable optical and Ethernet layer is proposed. It achieves a highly efficient and cost-effective optical Ethernet system viable for LAN/MAN/WAN. A testbed based on this scheme is also presented.
