Abstract
Certain longitudinal instabilities in the stretched bunches of the National Synchrotron Light Source Vacuum Ultra-Violet ring are described and simulated using a code for the integration of the Vlasov-Fokker-Planck equation (these proceedings). Results for the microwave instability driven by a broadband impedance, an instability driven by high-Q RF modes, and response functions in stretched bunches, are compared with measurements from the ring
