  • Abstract
The tilted-ellipse representation of standing-wave patterns enables the extraction of the magnitudes and phases of the forward-, and backward-waves. The mutual correlation of backward-waves versus forward-waves provides the Gammaii and Gammaij ratios, that respectively represent the S-parameters Sii and Sij. An (n+N) x (n+N) S-matrix is obtained for a given (n+N)-port square, or hexagonal cluster-tier. The simulation is equivalent to using an (n+N)-fort vector network analyzer for data-acquisition.
