Abstract
In order to localize the beam loss on the restricted area, the beam collimation system design has been performed for the 3GeV synchrotron of the JAERI-KEK joint project. The beam loss distribution has been calculated with Monte-Carlo simulation code STRUCT developed at the Fermi national laboratory. The collimation efficiency was calculated for two operation tune, where more than 98% of the traced beam loss is lost around the ring for the collimation system for each operation tune
