Abstract
A general overview is presented of the requirements for and selection criteria appropriate to a mission decomposition tool (mathematical model) to be used at an early stage in the aircraft crew-station design process. The focus is on procedures relating to the various stages of the crew-station design process with an emphasis on mission decomposition, information analysis, and crew functional allocation. Also noted are the types of analyses to be performed, and the design decisions to be supported
