Abstract
This paper presents a novel method, which is called two-step load estimation, to estimate distribution network load, whose results can be extensively applied in distribution planning and operation, and implementation of advanced functions of distribution automation (DA). Using this presented method: not only can better accuracy can be achieved, but also daily active and reactive power curves of all nodes of a feeder can be determined, which implies its good prospects of application to distribution networks
