  • Abstract
This work shows data relative to the quality of sediments from four different sites chosen along Ionian Sea coast, using biological tests. The use of a single species for a correct evaluation of the toxicity levels can be reductive, compared to the complexity of the ecosystems, so we have used three different organisms: one Amphipoda (Corophium insidiosum), one Isopoda (Idotea baltica) and bacterium Vibrio fischeri. The results allow us to determine toxicity of different samples: three of the four sites examined show effects connected to toxicity phenomena.
