Abstract
This paper proposes some practical methods for analyzing and dealing with gas turbine generator protection against out-of-step. Based on the project of Desheng Power Plant, a 300 MW combined cycle power plant imported from ABB, results of calculation on stability of the gas turbine generator running with the system are presented. Various related issues are analyzed through comparing different protection schemes. The necessity for modern gas turbine generator protection against out-of-step is clarified
