  • Abstract
    The following paper describes the optimisation process of an electrical machine and the influence of different torque types on the torque waveform. The calculation has been performed using FEM software and as a calculation base, a homopolar machine has been chosen. Interesting phenomenon regarding the influence of machine geometry on the torque ripple has been presented.
