Abstract
This paper deals with modelling and simulation, performed by means of DIgSILENT PowerFactory, of a test MV distribution network with a microgrid inside it along with its generatorspsila control systems. This control systems, developed for both synchronous generators and inverter-interfaced generation units and presented in a companion paper, are designed in order to be able to correctly manage a microgrid during both grid-connected and islanded operation. The transient behaviour of the microgrid is studied in various cases during and after its disconnection from the point of common coupling (PCC) with the main grid. A stable operation and a correct load sharing among the generators is achieved without the necessity of a centralised control scheme.
