Abstract
Because of the difficulty of maintenance resulting from tamping arms not working alone and the amplitude of tamping tool not being set for the existing tamper, a new type of tamper is proposed in this paper. For the new tamper, each piece of hydraulic shock mechanism can excite one couple of tamping tools to vibrate. The mechanism consists of a double-rod piston cylinder and a shifting yoke. The three-dimensional model construction and simulation analysis are carried out using ADAMS in terms of the mathematic modeling. Then the relationship between the frequency, amplitude, output shock force of the cylinder and the displacement, velocity, acceleration of tamping tool is researched. The results show that new tamper can meet the design requirement and the flexible adjustment of amplitude and frequency is realized. The model provides theoretical guide and reference for the development of the real device.
