  • Abstract
Rubber forming is a very important manufacture method in aircraft fabrication. Stretch flanging is a main fashion in rubber forming. A typical stretch flanging part is used to analyze the spring back control method. The finite element model is set to simulate the forming process. It is found that the simulation results agree well with the experiment. Die compensation is done based on the simulation and experiment. The part accuracy after spring back reaches the tolerance acquirement. As for the jogged flange, adopting the harder polyurethane and larger pressure can reach the purpose of one-step forming.
