  • Abstract
    To study the occurrence law of general machine operational fault, based on renewal theory, and in the premise of fault to obey Weibull distribution, the two special methods are given to determine renewal function. Using the renewal function obtained by the above methods, the optimal general machine maintenance cycle model was established which consider regular detection and diagnosis. The model are successfully used in the optimal maintenance cycle study of two type commercial vehicles,examining test results show that the model´s solution is accurate and reliable. The methods given by this paper to determine renewal function have very good value in engineering application, and they are accurate and easy to use.
