  • Abstract
    EPICS (experimental physics and industrial control system), a distributed control system, is introduced in the paper. The structure and components of EPICS are described in detail. The upgrade of HLS (Hefei synchrotron light source) control system, which is a part of the NSRL phase II project, is also described. The control system is developed under EPICS and mainly based on PC hardware
