Abstract
A Monte Carlo simulation (METEORNET) has been developed to analyze the performance of meteor burst networks. The program employs usable rate and duty cycle statistics derived from the METLINK computer model to predict the waiting time for message reception between nodes in a distributed network. METEORNET is useful in performing trade studies to optimize link performance with respect to the network protocol. Sample results are presented
