Abstract
This paper proposes the investigation on the performance between standard and high efficiency induction machines operating as SEIG feeding the nonlinear loads having same rating of 3 phase, 2.2 kW, 220/380 V, 4 poles. Consideration of capacitance for the SEIG based on equivalent circuit model under steady-state load conditions and a power flow diagram is given. The interpretation of experimental results can be guidelines for effective design and development of SEIG with DC supply for wind energy applications.
