  • Abstract
    It is obvious that the Geography Information System (GIS) have potential effect on regional economic development. Real-time monitoring system of farmland information is the basis to achieve ldquoprecision agriculturerdquo. The digital collection device for dynamic monitoring of agriculture resources and information dissemination process is studied in this paper. A novel embedded mobile information collection terminal is proposed based on GPS and embedded GIS technology to achieve the functions of automatic data collection, transmission and the real-time promulgation. The terminal includes an infrared imaging sensor, a module of data processing based on ARM and DSP, a GPS system, and a data link. The whole structure of system is given; The key technologies of system design and development are introduced detailed. the design and its realizing method are described from both the hardware aspect and the software aspect. It is part and parcel of agriculture tending towards modernization. The experimental results show that the design is reasonable and stable.
