Abstract
In this paper improved genetic algorithms are applied to compile the WaterOpt optimization module based on free control of FreeMap. Owing to the optimization problem of water-supplied pipe networks with multiple water-sources which is getting more and more prominent, we put forward three optimization schemes. Optimization results are calculated by WaterOpt module for each scheme and the best one could be selected through comparing all schemes. It is evident that the best scheme can reduce the cost of pipe networks in the upgrading and expansion process of the city effectively and ensure the reliability of water-supplied at the same time.
