  • Abstract
We propose the advanced technique for the formation of quasiperiodic structures (QPS) observable by an optical microscope. These structures are induced in photosensitive AgCl-Ag films by linearly polarized Gaussian laser beam with λ = 633 nm. We show that QPS with periods d > λ are effectively developed by excitation of the waveguide TM0-modes at great incidence angle and P-polarization of beam. We also show that irradiation of the film attached to 60° glass prism by P-polarized beam incident from glass side causes the growth of the primary C-gratings and secondary slant structures on the TM0-modes.
