  • Abstract
    The selective attenuation of the detail coefficients in the wavelet decomposition tree, allows the elimination of high-frequency additive noise, whose time-domain pattern does not fit the outline of the alarm impulses emitted by termites. Experimental results show that several wavelet families enhance the SNR almost in the same way. The ultrasound harmonics are benefited specially due to the absence of environmental noise in the ultrasound region.
