  • Abstract
A study is made of workstation architectures that permit several video windows to be displayed simultaneously. The transmission from each video source to the workstation display must be synchronized with the scan of the display, otherwise aberrations such as discontinuities in moving objects will be visible. This paper shows why the traditional master-slave techniques will not work and discusses how to correctly synchronize these streams
