Abstract
Configurations of 27 kHz ultrasonic complex vibration sources using a (1, 1) mode transverse vibration disk with four bolt-clamped Langevin type PZT transducer (BLT) 40 mm in diameter are developed and studied. The vibration source is driven using two power amplifier system and circular vibration locus is obtained at the welding tip. The diameter of (1, 1) mode transverse vibration disk (stainless steel: SUS304) is 112 mm and about 60% of that of 191.3 mm (2,1) mode disk, Vibration amplitude of 8.5 mump-0 (peak-to-zero value) is obtained at driving voltage 50 Vrms
