Abstract
The construction and function of an acoustic waveguide sensor, which is based on mode conversion between surface acoustic waves and compression waves at the interface between a non-piezoelectric solid substrate and a liquid is described and applications of such a sensor for the measurements of concentrations, liquid level and density stratification are presented
